As a parent of a baby, you will quite often be visited by well-meaning friends and family members who want nothing better to do than ogle over your baby and smother them with kisses and cuddles.
If you are like me, finding the right words to let friends or family know that you would prefer if they NOT kiss your baby on the lips, can be quite difficult. What words can you use so they will not be offended.
Do you say "hi thanks for coming, you can hold the baby but please don't kiss them on the lips?" Sounds simple enough right? Not really. Yes people should be understanding of your request and respect your wishes........But still there will be some awkwardness in how the other parties receive your request. The problem herein is finding the right moment OR WORDS to ask them not to kiss your baby on the lips. It may seem silly to not be able to tell people not to kiss YOUR baby, but in reality, some people do take offence.
This is where the NO TO GERMS stickers come in. These stickers do the talking for you and help to make things less awkward for you having to explain to each person who wants to cuddle your baby, why they should not kiss your baby on the lips. You simply have to stick the sticker on your baby's clothing (where it will not interfere with the baby).
Remember: Only use the stickers under adult supervision - as soon as the visitor(s) leave, simply remove the sticker.

What is the Herpes Simplex Virus?
The Herpes Simplex Virus is mainly transmitted by oral-to-oral contact to cause oral herpes also known as cold sores.
If you notice any of the following signs take your baby to the hospital immediately:

Burning around the mouth or lips

Cold sores on baby’s face
If you get to the Doctors in time, they will know how to treat the condition and keep your baby safe.
Infants are very vulnerable in their first few months as their bodies lack the immunity to protect them from viruses and infections.
When you are kissing a baby’s lips, you are putting a whole lot of bacteria into that little defenceless body.
According to the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), kissing can transmit up to 500 different kinds of germs.
Prevention is certainly better than cure or unnecessary tragedy.
